Cameco, the world's largest uranium mining corporation in the world, is preparing to rebuild the Cigar Lake uranium mine,  in norhtern Saskatchewaqn, the richest uranium strike in recent years.  This mine, was destroyed by an accident on October 22, 2006, which knocked the entire mine into Cigar Lake and adjacent waterways.

This accident sent uranium mining corporations rushing off to Australia, and most of all Africa, in late 2006.  Cameco now plans to have this mine producing again by 2011.
